Do you believe going to temple is like going to heaven? This temple is on a mountain in Nakhon Sawan. And Nakhon Sawan literary means heavenly city. ;)
Wat Pa Siriwatanavisut is a temple under the patronage of the late Princess Galyani. There is a replica of Mahabodhi temple at the top of the mountain.

I took this video at the aquarium in Nakhon Sawan. Everybody enjoyed the underwater tunnel and no one warned me when we reached the end of the conveyor so I stumbled. Fortunately I didn't fell nor break my camera.

My family and I went to Wat Lamphaya Floating Market again. But this time we cruised along Tha Chin River from Wat Lamphaya to Wat Bang Pla and got back to shopping at the floating market. The lady in pink is my aunt. We found a little sunflower garden on the way back from her house so we stopped by to take some photos. :)

See the previous trip to Wat Lamphaya Floating Market here http://noelkid.multiply.com/photos/album/61/

Does anybody remember I was absent from Multiply at the beginning of this month? Never mind I have some photos to show what I did at that time. ;)

It was my brother-in-law's mother birthday on April 6. I call her 'yaa' or grandma like my nephew. Yaa lives in Khon Kaen, a province in Northeastern Thailand. That was my first time visited this province. It took about 6 hours from Bangkok by a VIP coach.

Yaa didn't have a birthday party but a making merit ceremony in the morning. We invited monks to the house and offered food to them. There was a special dish bullfrog soup which I never dare to try. :P

After the ceremony, yaa tied holy thread on our wrists for good luck and gave us pillows and silk which she made by herself.

After all of that, my brother-in-law's niece who used to stay with us in bangkok took me and my nephew to look around the village. Her old school nearby has lots of animal figures made by a janitor.

The Doi Tung Royal Villa was a residence of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindara, The King's mother. It is 1800 meters high, located on the border to Myanmar. We went there on Feb 5, 2008. My mom was tired from walking up the hilly area so she just waited outside while my sister and I explored the villa and the garden.

It's unbelievable my little nephew is going to be a teenager this January 29!!!!!!

Seeing him growing  up is a miracle. We live together since he was born.

I named him 'Orm' as a nickname because he was born on the shopping day before Chinese New Year. Orm means save.

He is the best Chinese New Year present ever for our family.

Thanks my sister and her husband for their finest product.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY MOST BELOVED BUDDY!!!!

Sanam Chandra Palace in Nakhon Pathom celebrated its centennial from November 23 to December 2. There were cultural performances, parades, an exhibition on boy scouts in Thailand and activities associated with King Rama VI and the current monarch.

I went there last Sunday with my sister. There were LOTS of people so we couldn't take many photos. Hope we can visit the palace again soon. It's not far from Bangkok.

Both of my sisters and I went to visit an old friend in Lopburi on Loy Krathong day. There was a fair nearby so we decided to have a peek. The organizer claimed that it was a Japanese fun fair but it was not sooooo Japanese as we expected. Anyway, we still enjoyed posing....hahahahaha..........

P.S. The weather was not cold. We used those jackets to protect our skin from the super strong sun. :P

Blog EntryThe Real MeSep 20, '07 7:51 AM
for everyone

Well, I've to write about my random facts or habits because I've been tagged by StreetSmart Sukhumvit. Let's start right away.

RULES:
*
Each blogger must post these rules first.
*
Each blogger must start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
*
Bloggers that are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
*
At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

1. I'm a translator, working for a newspaper in Bangkok, Thailand. Some of you knew this fact already.

2. My parents have 3 daughters. Each one was born in December, 2 years apart. I'm the youngest.

3. Noel is not my real name. It's just a screen name. I have 3 regular screen names ; Noel, Monday and Lazy. The name 'Noel' came from my Christmas birthday and it was 'Monday.' 'Lazy' is  the best word to describe me.

4. New Zealand is the farthest place I've ever been. I stayed there for 6 months in 2004, which was the longest period I stayed away from home. It was my first time going abroad alone.

 5. I can listen to many kinds of music such as pop, rock, punk, indy and some classic pieces but I don't like hard & heavy. My No.1 favorite singer is Josh Groban and my No.1 music group is MXPX.

6. The Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite movie. and The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack (Special Edition + Bonus CD) is the most expensive album I've ever bought.

7. I collect witch dolls, and some other stuff that related to Halloween.

8. I can do glass carving.

***********************************************************************************************************

And now my eight targets are.....

1. Joel (rehabdoc)

2. Nic (nicnicnic)

3. Little Piglet (athalay)

4. Rob (ozrob)

5. Carol (spider53)

6. Peggy (xueyinggan)

7. Herald (herald5995)

8. Kethy (jukebox03)

Hope you don't mind sharing some info.
